Hello lovelies, remember when I talked about the amazing opportunity I had a few weeks back when I flew to Denver and recorded a sewing class with Craftsy ? Yeah, the class is now live and it all is super surreal, and exciting, and intimidating all at the same time, eeeeek !!! My class Giftable Projects: Zippered Bags and Purse Organizer is a six lesson class with detailed instructions and lots of tips on how to make three different zipper pouches. Would you like to see the pouches I designed for the class? Here we go. Easy Coin Pouch with removable wrist strap is the first (and easiest project). I love this sweet little pouch and have made quite a few of them for my daughters and their friends already. The second pouch I teach is Double Zip pouch which makes a perfect pencil pouch or make up bag. I'm also thinking it would make a great hand sewing supplies pouch. Oh, the possibilities :) Last, but definitely not least, is this Keep it Ne...
Hello, welcome to Bagmaker Tuesday !!!
I have a super adorable Trail Tote I made for my niece to share today :)
Pretty cute, isn't it?
And not only is this a free pattern (by Anna Graham - noodlehead), it's also an easy and pretty quick make. The pattern includes instructions for two sizes, the one I made is a small one.
I (once again) used Maker Maker Essex linen for the exterior. I really, really love the texture of these prints plus how can one resist these adorable doggies !?!?
Now, the pattern shows how to make your own piping but I was in too much of a hurry to just get sewing so I decided to use store bought piping instead. I think it looks OK but next time I'll follow Anna's instructions and make my piping thicker.
I'm a huge fan of zipper pockets as I think they make bags more usable but you could definitely skip the pocket if zippers aren't your thing :)
Oh, and in case someone is interested, I buy my zippers from Zipit on Etsy.
OK, your turn now. Have you worked on any bags or pouches lately? I hope link up to your makes by clicking on the button below.
Svetlana
