Hello lovelies, remember when I talked about the amazing opportunity I had a few weeks back when I flew to Denver and recorded a sewing class with Craftsy ? Yeah, the class is now live and it all is super surreal, and exciting, and intimidating all at the same time, eeeeek !!! Would you like to see the pouches I designed for the class? Here we go. Easy Coin Pouch with removable wrist strap is the first (and easiest project). I love this sweet little pouch and have made quite a few of them for my daughters and their friends already. The second pouch I teach is Double Zip pouch which makes a perfect pencil pouch or make up bag. I'm also thinking it would make a great hand sewing supplies pouch. Many people think drawing is a talent that you are either born with or not. I don't believe this. I think these people just never learned that much of what they perceive as 'magic' is in fact a set of techniques, that can be learned through study. They don't see the building blocks the artist uses to create his drawing. A huge part of being able to draw is being able to see. To see proportions, relationships, volumes, shapes, perspective, values, edges, colors. All of these can be learned through study. Betty Edwards teaches art classes to people of whom many think the are just born without the ability to draw. Below you see the 'before' and 'after' drawings of these students. Please note that this course lasted only 5 days!!
